Listing an event is free. Buyers pay a low, transparent booking fee. We are based in Walthamstow and still answer the support inbox ourselves.
How we got here
We started Ticketlab in 2012 while volunteering for Get it Loud in Libraries, a not-for-profit that puts live music on in libraries. The ticketing tools we tried were slow, confusing, and expensive for organisers and buyers. So we built something simpler.
Our first customers were charities and voluntary groups. That still shapes how we work: keep fees low, keep the product easy to use, and help people run events without a sales call.
Who we help
These are the kinds of organisers who use Ticketlab day to day:
- Film clubs and community cinemas. They need a simple page for each screening, low fees on modest ticket prices, and tools that do not assume a full-time box office. More on film and cinema ticketing.
- Charity quizzes, fundraisers, and community groups. Free listing matters when the aim is to raise money, not to feed a platform subscription.
- Live music promoters and bands. One shareable event link, lower booking fees than the big marketplaces, and payout after the gig.
- Councils, venues, and regular programmes. Recurring events, a fixed public events URL, and humans on support when something breaks.
